On Sunday, September 13, 2009, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of our very first worship service, which took place back on September 13, 1959. It was a wonderful time of worship as we honored the faith of our founding members and reflected upon God's faithfulness to Hopevale Church over these last fifty years.
Also, a great book that gives the history of the original Hopevale story in complete, WWII detail, is "The Edge of Terror" by Scott Walker. SCOTT WALKER, a Baptist minister, is the son of Baptist missionaries to the Philippines, and the author of ten books.
